Electrification

Practical Electrification. Built for Canada.
FUTURi Power helps homes and buildings electrify faster, smarter, and with less infrastructure friction. Our integrated hardware and software platform enables cleaner power, coordinated load management, and more resilient energy management for homes, buildings, utilities, and energy partners.

Who We Are

FUTURi Power Inc. is a University of British Columbia spin-off advancing practical electrification for real-world deployment.

FUTURi develops integrated hardware, firmware, and software solutions that help customers generate, store, and manage clean power locally.

The next phase of electrification cannot be solved by brute force. There are not enough critical materials, skilled labour, or capital budgets to meet growing electrical demand through traditional infrastructure expansion alone.

FUTURi is building smarter electrical equipment that enables buildings and the grid to work together, making better use of existing infrastructure while allowing new electric loads to scale.

Design Principles

Our mission is to make the world's electricity smart, clean, and resilient.

Electrification must be practical, reliable, and ready for the field. FUTURi builds technologies that reduce costly service upgrades, support grid-aware energy management, and make clean energy projects easier to deliver.

01

Practical

We design equipment that feels familiar to electricians, homeowners, inspectors, and partners, making it easier to install, approve, and adopt the technology needed to manage the energy transition.

02

Integrated

We combine hardware, firmware, software, and controls into one coordinated energy platform, making the system easier to deploy, monitor, and manage as a complete solution.

03

Utility Relevant

Every piece of equipment added to the grid should contribute positively. FUTURi designs technology that helps reduce strain and complexity rather than adding to it.

04

Canadian Built

We believe energy sovereignty will be a defining issue in the years ahead. Access to domestically designed and manufactured equipment strengthens the quality, resilience, and long-term value of our grid and national economy.

Our Story

World-class team. Smart electrification. Practical innovation.

Born from advanced research at the University of British Columbia, a leading Canadian research university, FUTURi Power brings world-class power electronics expertise into practical energy technology for the future of electrification.

We founded FUTURi Power to make electricity smart, clean, and resilient for every home and community. Developed in advanced power electronics laboratories, FUTURi brings together deep expertise in energy systems, embedded firmware, cloud software, and IoT to solve one of electrification's biggest challenges: how to power more homes without overwhelming existing infrastructure.

Our flagship product, the Energy Processor, manages loads, EV charging, hot water tanks, solar, battery storage, and grid power through one intelligent energy platform. Built from years of research, real-world engineering, and field validation, FUTURi's technology helps homes and communities reduce peak demand, improve resilience, and accelerate the transition to a 100% electric future.
